Online Session on Public Speaking (Academic Club)

Description of the Event: The Academic Club of KUSL-SWC organized a virtual public speaking session led by guest speaker Advocate Biraj Thapa. Hosted by Ms. Pramisha Sejuwal, the event aimed to enhance public speaking abilities, confidence, and engagement among law students and enthusiasts.

Objectives:

  1. Cover essential aspects of public speaking.
  2. Provide participants with opportunities for hands-on practice and interaction.
  3. Engage aspiring law students in a structured learning experience.
  4. Offer ample opportunities for interaction and feedback.

Key Highlights and Outcomes:

  • The session began with an introduction of the guest speaker.
  • Advocate Biraj Thapa provided insights on overcoming stage fright, speech structure, engaging the audience, voice modulation, body language, building confidence, and controlling anxiety.
  • Despite technical difficulties and a rushed delivery, the session included interactive elements.
  • 28 participants signed up, with a highest recorded attendance of 34.

The event concluded with some participants gaining practical knowledge on structuring speeches and engaging audiences.
