2nd Tejshree Memorial National Moot Court Competition,

Location: Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal
Description of the event: The 2nd Tejshree Memorial National Moot Court
Competition aimed to honor the legacy of Tejshree Thapa by passing on the
wisdom and values she once upheld to future generations of lawyers from across the country. The competition was designed to enhance students’ knowledge, skills, and practical understanding of International Humanitarian Law, a subject deeply connected to Nepal’s historical context. It also sought to encourage the exchange of ideas and foster interaction among law colleges nationwide, offering participants a comprehensive and enriching experience..

Event Title: 3rd Intra KUSoL Moot Court Competition,

Location: Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal
Description of the event: The Third Intra KUSoL Moot Court Competition was the inaugural internal moot court event organized by Debating and Mooting Society aimed to enhance student’s advocacy skills and provide a platform for them to experience competitive mooting within law school. The competition aimed to provide a practical platform for students to refine their legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills in a simulated courtroom setting. It was a celebration of academic engagement, critical legal analysis, and student initiative, furthering the law school’s commitment to experiential legal education. This year’s theme was Contract Law.

Navigating Moot Courts: A Workshop on the Essentials

Description of the Event: A 3 day workshop designed to equip law students with
essential mooting skills, including research, drafting, argumentation, and
courtroom etiquette.

1st Tejshree Memorial National Moot Court Competition, 2023

Location: Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal
Description of the event: 1st Tejshree Memorial National Moot Court Competition aims to further the legacy of Tejshree Thapa, by imparting light and wisdom she once stood for among the future generations of lawyers from all over the country. The overall objective of the competition is to allow the students to broaden their knowledge, skills, and practical understanding on the subject of International Humanitarian Law; as it is intrinsically and intimately connected to the etched history of Nepal. The event intends to facilitate an exchange of ideas and interaction between law colleges from every part of the country and to provide for an overall fulfilling experience.

2nd Intra KUSoL Moot Court Competition, 2023

Location: Kathmandu University, Dhulikhel, Nepal
Description of the event: The 2nd Intra KUSoL Moot Court Competition 2023continued to strengthen the foundation laid by its predecessor, offering law students an enhanced platform for honing their advocacy skills. This iteration was a Criminal Trial Advocacy in Nepali medium. There was a turnout of 19 teams for the orals (22 teams for the registration), making the number of participants (57) and (10) witnesses. With the current board having seven members, they were further aided by (10) volunteers. The program itself was conducted in the new law school building for the first two days, consisting of preliminary rounds, quarterfinals and semifinals. The final round of the competition was held in CV Raman Hall of the Central Campus.
